Each Kindermusik class is a world of discovery and adventure. In every class, you'll witness your child's developmental evolution in language skills, literacy, listening, problem solving, social skills, self-esteem, and musicality. And it happens within a nurturing environment-full of energy, imagination, music, dancing, and playful delight.

An integral part of every Kindermusik program, your Kindermusik At-Home Materials include the highest-quality music CDs, creative activities, beautifully illustrated children's books, and specially designed instruments-created to complement the music and Kindermusik classroom experience.
By adding new concepts and challenges along the way, each age-appropriate program acts as a stepping stone to the next-paving the way to a musical journey that can last seven magnificent, musical years.

Kindermusik Family Time®
· Newborn to 7 years of age
In ten weeks, you'll play instruments together, dance together, share, and take turns, and see how music can bring you closer as a family. A one-room schoolhouse approach to music. With older children ready to show the little ones how it's done and the younger ones eager to learn, Family Time becomes a multi-layered learning environment. Each week, a Kindermusik Educator will introduce basic musical concepts and then give you the instruments, and the structured free time to put those concepts into play.
Your children will listen to instruments and to each other, learn from their peers and older children, and enjoy music and movement with hoops, scarves and tumble-around play. Story time and family jams, puppet play and happy singing--all the Family Time activities encourage discovery and exploration and foster sharing and social skills too. In this special place for musical, social and emotional learning, your children will strengthen their ties with each other and with you and they'll start developing the skills they'll need in school and on the neighborhood playground.
Class Description and Times
Kindermusik Family Time consists of four units. Each unit runs 10 weeks. This Fall we are presenting Semester (unit) 3, Movin' & Groovin'. Classes meet once a week for 45 minutes.
Family Time, Movin' & Groovin'
Movin' & Groovin' is a romping, rolling, stretching good time for the whole family. This ten-lesson unit of Family Time will explore lots of different ways to move--high and low, fast and slow, zigzag, curvy, and more. Family members will chug around the classroom like trains, clip-clop like horses, and roll over like puppy dogs. They'll hear a story about playing tag together in Can You Catch Me?, and read about a jungle hokey-pokey in Put Your Left Paw In. Show your best groovin' moves--it's time for Movin' & Groovin'. This is unit is all about elements of movement, tempo, levels, pathways, weight, and energy.
Times
Fall session runs from September 17, 2007 to December 19, 2008.
Your child may be enrolled at any time. You do not need to begin at the first class of the series. Missed classes can be made up in any group, space permitting.

Class Fees
Tuition for Kindermusik Family Time is $205.00 for the 10 week series. Fees are prorated for students starting late. A 25% discount is given to siblings attending Family Time clases only. A 10% discount is given to returning students, students taking multiple classes, and siblings attending other classes. Please see the registration page for payment options.
Included Materials
Each class comes with a variety of learning materials, music, instruments or noise makers created to accompany the lessons. Kindermusik shows you how, and encourages you, to use these materials with your child at home.
Movin' and Groovin' At Home Materials
Included are: Sing, Play & Grow! A family guide to musical fun--a book full of activities and information about child development, as well as fun facts about the songs enjoyed in class. Jellybean band puppets: Rascal the monkey (hand puppet and finger puppet). 2 Home CDs 2 monkey den-den drums. 2 Jellybean Band books with activity pages, comic strips about the band, and stories. This unit's stories are Can You Catch Me? and Put Your Left Paw In. A matching card game.
